Our Story
Our journey to start a family began shortly after we married in the fall of 2017. After six long years of surgeries & procedures, consultations, and heartache we became pregnant through IVF. Our time of celebrations came to a sudden halt after a routine appointment, a heartbeat could not be found. With our hearts heavy and families by our side, we went to SGMC to deliver our lovely Josephine at rest. Our time with her was as precious as her little hands. The staff at SGMC were angels on earth. From the front desk staff and nurses to the interns and chaplains, the darkest time in our lives we had glimmers of light all around us. The staff brought our sweet baby girl a CuddleCot so that we could cherish every sacred moment we had left with her. The hospital only has one of these devices, and we almost lost our chance to use it due to it not cooling properly. Thankfully it started working as intended and bought us a lifetime of memories with our sweet Josephine. This is why we are starting this donation fund. Without the CuddleCot, our time with Joey would have been even shorter. We want to pass down to those who find themselves on our unfortunate path something we value to this very day... time.

The CuddleCot is a unique cooling device designed to provide grieving parents with the invaluable gift of time with their deceased baby. Lightweight and portable, it is utilized by bereavement care teams globally, empowering parents with the autonomy to choose what's best for their family during this challenging time. Time enables families to create precious memories, facilitates visits from loved ones, and allows parents the necessary time to make arrangements, all while keeping baby close by. The time provided by the CuddleCot helps in the preservation of the precious memories associated with baby, time that parents may not otherwise have if baby is taken to a mortuary. Its impact is undeniable and it is in use in thousands of hospitals across the world.
How to Donate
Thanks to the generosity of close friends we have matched their foundational donation of $350 to start the fund. CuddleCots can cost up to $3000 not to include spare parts. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
